Road safety is one of the most serious social problems in Baku. Obviously, Traffic Police of Azerbaijan is constantly controlling drivers’ behavior, however, behavior of pedestrians on the roads is often uncontrollable. According to statistics provided by the State Traffic Police, 2220 road accidents were registered in Azerbaijan in 2015, and 41.6% of them happened due to pedestrians. AMAK is planning to conduct a survey called “Pedestrians should be aware of road safety rules, observe these rules and learn their attitude toward these rules”. Depending on the results of the survey, the overall situation in this field will be assessed and certain recommendations will be prepared for the government agencies.
